16-year-old Arjun Maini joined F4 with reigning champions Lanan Racing and was the ninth different nationality to confirm his F4 intentions that year. He was the winner of the Force India F1 Team Academy's 'One From a Billion Hunt' in 2011 which gained him support from the team during his campaign in Super One karting in 2012, as well as tuition from karting legend Terry Fullerton.
He ended 2013 by finishing second overall in the JK Tyre Racing Series in India, which included two victories at the Buddh International F1 venue. He was also the winner of the Super 6 Series in Malaysia, driving Formula BMW machinery at the Sepang circuit.
Prior to stepping into cars in 2013, Maini enjoyed a successful karting career which included being classified fifth overall in the ROK Cup International Final in Lonato in 2012, against 72 drivers from over 20 countries while also participating in the WSK Euro and Master series in the KF Category. In the last five years, Maini has secured over 80 podium finishes including 22 wins.
An impressive season with Lanan Racing in F4 saw Maini finish as runner-up with four wins.
